Most of us have heard about the good work of Doctors Without BordersDoctors Without Borders , not the most cheerful site, though they do tremendous good. And if it is real news you are after about political actions in the world you will find it there.


And now, there's Engineers Without Borders
Begun by Bernard Amadei in 2002 there are now 230 chapters of the organization in the US, with about 8000 members. The idea is to change lives with low impact, inexpensive projects that just gently do good. Like designing ways for folks to have clean water.
